Sky Protect doesn’t currently offer buildings only insurance. You can get buildings & contents cover, or contents only cover.
Accidental damage is physical damage that happens out of the blue and is not done on purpose. It’s different to damage caused by general wear and tear or a breakdown. Sky Protect home insurance comes with some accidental damage cover as standard, but you have the option to add additional accidental damage cover too.
Home Emergency Cover offers professional help with emergencies in your home. This includes temporary fixes for urgent issues like heating failure, plumbing and drainage or making your home secure. With Sky Protect Smart Home Insurance, Home Emergency Cover is included as standard, as well as Family Legal Assistance and Cyber Cover. You can also add these to our 12-month Home Insurance policy.
Buildings insurance covers the main structure of your home, like the bricks and foundations. If your home was damaged from various risks such as a fire, flood, or storm, buildings insurance will help with the repairs and rebuilding.
